At the wall of change

Recently I spent my weekend in Berlin. A fantastic city full of history, art and a lot of contrasts. It was my second time there and I liked it even better. Berlin has some places like the Gedächtniskirche/ Berlin Cathedral, it doesn´t matter how often you visit them, it´s a must-come-back. More great-to-be places are Unter den Linden Avenue, the Museum Island or East Side Gallery. The largest and longest-lasting open air gallery in the world. It is an international memorial for freedom, an about 1.3 km long section of the Berlin Wall located near the centre of Berlin. The gallery consists of 105 paintings by artists from all over the world. This paintings document a time of change and express the euphoria and great hopes for a better, more free future for all people of the world. The construction of the Berlin Wall and especially its fall are such pervasive and therefore incredible important moments in the history of the twentieth century. Imagine all the reunited families and friends, who had been divided for 28 years in the same country.

First day. A basic white t-shirt tucked in slim black trousers. A denim oversize jacket and my new blue Converse. My first Converse ever! Can you believe? Around the waist some red from a plaid shirt giving all a bit of bright colour and print. I finish with two-coloured sunglasses matching t-shirt and trousers.
