New in the area

It's time for a change. A really big most recent change is that I moved to a new area. A new house and new flatmates. Flat-search-frustration turned finally into happiness. I had a little stroll around my new neighbourhood and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a quieter place than I thought, surrounded by beautiful houses, parks, coffee shops, Wetherspoons and lovely families. It seems that in the past it has been a very posh and great area to live in with its elegant facades, its manicured gardens and the wide avenues. Nowadays it still keeps a bit of that but it became a more urban and artsy place with fantastic murals and colourful doors.

It´s a sunny day but still pretty chilly so I am wearing an oversized coat. I love its dark green colour and it´s so easy to wear from the most casual look to the smartest one. This garment with a caramel colour jumper and classic jeans are a great colour combination. The shoes are one of my favourites because of their comfortability and the baroque print. It shows a 17th-century painting of Hogarth´s most famous series "A Rake´s Progress". The fusion between the artist Ed Gray and the Hogarth Collection with Dr Martens is fantastic. " I make paintings of people and I try to tell stories about how we all fit together to make this city what it is. I´m interested in the power of art as a connecting force in people´s lives".

The white socks and the red bandana around the neck give the colour contrast that I was after. To finish off; my favourite gloves in brown, tan and mustard and a printed laptop case. This one is also showing bike race images from yesteryear. A stylish combo of fashion and art.
